Keeping a journal of your summer travels can be the best souvenir you will ever have. We will look at different types of journaling, materials, what to select for notes and sketching and how to make the most of your time. A selection of sketch book types will also be presented. Multimedia.

 Friday June 24, Painting Roses 

A one-day watercolour workshop painting roses.

The gardens at Windsong Studio has a number of beautiful rose varieties, and we will look at how they grow and how to work up a painting on these beautiful and delicate garden favourites. Hot press 140lb paper is preferred, but good quality 140lb cold press is acceptable.

Friday July 15, and  Saturday July 16, 2010   Plein air Painting days 

 All media welcome for this one-day adventure. If you have never painted the landscape in the fresh air, here is your chance. If you have and wish to come along, then you are most welcome. Morning brief instruction and information about plein air painting and then we will go to a pleasant location to paint.  Hopefully the weather will co-operate. I try to make everyone comfortable, and the necessities will be accommodated. Please bring a lunch. A list of plein air needs will be emailed with your registration confirmation.

     A two-day seascape painting workshop at Morden Community Hall on the beautiful Bay of Fundy. This is a truly beautiful location rich in history.The French Cross of the Acadians is nearby.

    If weather and interest allows there will be some plein air painting and sketching opportunities. Most of the workshop will be indoors. 

     Lunch will be provided both days, with morning and afternoon snacks as well. 

    Demonstrations will be given each morning. Students will be given various topics to explore from painting waves to rocks and cliffs.

      Workshop fee is $150.00 for the two days.

      Class times are 9:30 to 3:30 both days. We will meet at Windsong Studio & Gallery, 1331 Victoria Rd. Aylesford, and travel to Morden about 18kms away. A minimum of six persons will be needed to run the class. 

All workshops are held, or start out at Windsong Studio & Gallery 1331 Victoria Rd., in Aylesford. If traveling the 101 highway take exit 16 and turn toward Aylesford Village. Windsong is the first house on the right, just over the over pass and next to the village picnic park.
